History

  • Research has found references to handwriting analysis as far back as 4500 BC.

  • In 99 AD, the Roman historian Suetonius studied Emperor Augustus' personality from his handwriting.

  • The first handwriting analysis book was published in 1622 by Camildo Baldo.

  • Most pioneering research was performed before 1929 in Europe.

  • The modern scientific method (Graphoanalysis®) of analyzing individual strokes in handwriting began in 1915 by Milton Bunker.

What It Is Not

  • Graphoanalysis® can NOT tell the future

  • Graphoanalysis® is NOT a New Age or Pseudoscientific fad

  • Graphoanalysis® has NOTHING to do with the occult

  • Graphoanalysis® is NOT generic graphology

How It Works

  • Your brain controls your handwriting

  • Although you have formed the characters as a result of habits, the pressure and the formation of the individual parts of the letters are in themselves a picture of the force and purpose that existed in your brain - Handwriting is really "Brainwriting"

  • The handwriting portrays the mental activities of the writer

  • Think of handwriting analysis as "concentrated body language on paper"

The Acceptance of Handwriting Analysis (Graphoanalysis®)

Handwriting analysis is quietly spreading through corporate America. With the government pulling the plug on polygraphs, employers claming up on job references, and liabilities rising for the "negligent hiring" of workers, it is one alternative managers are exploring in an effort to know who they

are hiring, before they hire. ---- Wall Street Journal

It is not unusual for European companies to have full-time handwriting analysts on staff to help personnel officers read between the lines. Now in the U.S., thousands of employees and prospective employees are screened via handwriting analysis every day. ---- Forbes

In France, Spain, Holland and Israel, approximately 80% of companies use handwriting analysis for analyzing potential employees according to a 1988 report by - "The Wall Street Journal"

What about the legality of Handwriting Analysis (Graphoanalysis®)?

Handwriting Analysis can NOT identify age, gender, race, sexual preference or religion. Even the EEOC can not legitimately complain.

Supreme Court, in 1977, "United States v. Sydney Rosinsky" (FRP249), ruled:

"What someone's handwriting looks like is considered public information -- similar to, for example, how someone dresses or their body language, and the psychological analysis that can be extracted from the information is not considered an invasion of privacy."
